What kind of minor masonry work do we do?

  1. Hack and install one or few pieces of tiles at living, kitchen, car porch, walk way, bedroom, balcony or bathroom
  2. Hack a bigger area of wall tiles (example 30sqft to 200sqft) and cement plaster smooth the wall.
  3. Hack an area of floor tiles (example 120sqft to 500sqft) usually a bedroom or living room and tile the flooring
  4. Hack, waterproof and tile the balcony floor    
  5. Make good after wall demolition, removal of door frame or sliding door
  6. Kitchen cabinet / refrigerator / washing machine base
  7. Shower screen kerb

Factors affecting minor masonry work pricing

  1. Logistic: whether the place is accessible or have direct access. If there is no lift landing and materials need to be transported via the staircase, the logistic charge will be very high. For example a roof top of 3 story landed house or 4th floor old apartment without lift
  2. Tiles price: using more expensive tiles will increase the over cost
  3. Tiling design: Herringbone or subway tiling method will increase labour cost for tiling
  4. Tile size: 300x600mm, 300x300mm or 600x600mm are the normal tile size. Any tiles smaller like 100x100mm or 75x150mm or 1200x600mm, there will be additional charges.
  5. Complicated situation that needs additional work. For example in order to fix the tiles, there is a piece of carpentry that need dismantling and disposal. This will result in additional cost.

What other masonry work do we do?

  1. 1 x bathroom or 2 x bathroom tiling work

  3. Wall building using red brick, hollow block or light weight block
  4. Make good wall after dismantling of sliding door / bedroom door or demolition of wall
